The Samsung Galaxy Feel with 4.7-inch display and Android 7.0 Nougat launched

At a time when Apple is among the only holdouts selling phones with sub-5-inch displays, Samsung has just released the Samsung Galaxy Feel, a smartphone with a 4.7-inch display.

The device has been launched in Japan and features a 4.7-inch AMOLED display with an HD resolution (1280×720). The device weighs 149 g and is only 67 mm wide.

The device is powered by an unknown 1.6 GHz SoC with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The main camera is a 16 MP unit and the front camera is a 5 MP one. A 3,000 mAh battery provides the juice.

Interestingly, the phone supports Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Among other things, the phone is rated as IP68 water and dust resistant, includes a finger print sensor and supports Bluetooth 4.2.

The device supports fast-charging, says Samsung, with a time to full charge of just 110 minutes. Charging and data transfer happens via the included USB-C port.

The 3.5 mm headphone jack remains.

The phone has been launched in Japan via NTT DoCoMo and sales are expected to start in mid-June,The phone will be available in white, black and pink. We don’t yet know the price of the phone or details about its availability.
